Happy National Month of HOPE
Dear Friends,
Who knew that April is a whole month all about me? Mom says it's really about lending a helping hand, reaching out, and volunteering. It’s about spreading kindness, compassion and lifting others up. Well then, it IS about me, I spread kindness and make the peeps happy wherever I go!
For those of you who don’t know me, I’m a rescued black Lab mix. My birth mom is a beautiful chocolate Lab who was dumped pregnant at the scary place. Thankfully she was rescued by Lucky Labs in Charlotte, NC and my siblings and I were born in a loving foster home.
Mom saw my puppy pic on FB and it was love at first sight. I was the black runt in the litter and the last one to get adopted. Apparently lots of peeps love the chocolates more than us black pups. Luckily Mom loves black pups the best!
I’m almost 9 now and life is good. Mom and Dad call me their Diva Dog cuz I’m a bit (actually a lot!) spoiled, but that’s a story for another day. There’s only one thing that isn’t so good lately. I’ve noticed that Mom has been sad and upset. Dad doesn’t say too much, but I can feel his unease too. Mom always puts on a smile and talks in her happy voice for me, but us doggos can feel emotions. I don’t know what’s going on but there’s some bad energy swirling around that makes me nervous. I’m not the only one. The neighborhood doggos tell me the same thing, they can feel it too. Their moms and dads are upset, but they don’t know why. We’re all on high alert and trying really hard to make the peeps happy! We want so badly to comfort everyone and make you feel better!
I’m gonna start sending out some uplifting messages and doggo inspiration and maybe even some tips on how to be your best Diva self. Mom will put it on her website so you can check in whenever you need some hope ~ she says everyone needs a little HOPE, especially now, and that’s ME!
To celebrate National Month of Hope, start by treating yourself to lots of nom noms and most importantly share with someone you love! And if that ‘someone’ has four paws and a tail, even better! I celebrated by having yogurt for breakie with Mom. I just realized that I didn’t wipe my mouth off before Mom took my pic, oops! Oh well, it was yummy!
Always remember that us doggos love you no matter what and we’re always up for a good cuddle if you need a hug!
Peace, Love, Light from Hope
